TEDxEustis Announces Date and Speaker Line-Up

Eustis, Florida: Speaking from the heart seems to be Leesburg
resident Claudia Jean Virga’s default setting. The award-winning speaker and dynamic trainer brings her unique storytelling and teaching skills to the role of curator of TEDxEustis, which takes over the State Theatre in Eustis on January 5th, 2018 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

“Claudia is passionate about engaging audiences,” says Timothy Totten, who recently secured the TEDx license for Eustis with his co-organizer, Byron Faudie. “She has helped us narrow down more than 35 fantastic speaker applications to cultivate the perfect mix for this exciting event.”

The 2018 gathering, which will feature a dozen local speakers and several performers, centers around the theme of “kaizen,” a Japanese word which generally means “change for good” or, in business, signifies “continuous improvement.” For co-organizer Byron Faudie, the theme opens up a wide range of possibilities for the speakers sharing their insights.

“The chosen topics include everything from creating a values-based company to finding new ways to end bullying, and from living tiny for a better future to the elasticity and resilience of the human brain,” says Faudie, who will share with Totten the responsibilities for attendee experience and community engagement for TEDxEustis.

The January 5th event is open to the public. Tickets will go on sale Monday, October 16th at 9:00 am on the organization’s website, www.tedxeustis.com. Because the inaugural TEDxEustis event is limited to just 100 participants, the organizers expect the event to sell out quickly. Attendees will enjoy a continental breakfast, leisurely breaks for extending the discussion past the staged talks, a catered lunch at a downtown Eustis restaurant, and other takeaways to extend the conversation beyond the event.

Companies or individuals interested in partnership opportunities should contact Timothy Totten at 352-242-8111 or by emailing tedxeustis@gmail.com.
